Christa Giles

Christa weaves, knits, and stitches all manner of things.

Her relationship with the fabric of space began with the kitting of actual fabric into clothes. Having achieved several levels in this skill she went on to teach others the dark arts of knitting, as well as selling the requisite materials and patterns to other knitters, ensuring the craft shall outlast our petty lives and perhaps even the Earth itself.

During this time she also started helping organize Madskillz Vancouver, a community of dancers, hoopers, performers, jugglers, and generally anyone capable of moving their body to the invisible rhythms and weaves of the world. Presumably Christa was not content simply knitting clothes, she wanted to try to knit communities and talents together as well.

Finally, Christa has made steps to weave and knit life itself. Acquiring first aid and lifeguard certifications, Christa can now see the invisible strings of life. One of the last weaves she has yet to investigate is that of video games, and perhaps then she will finally have enough knowledge to knit a new, better world.

We at the WTF Game Jam certainly hope so.

  Christa created her sidescrolling race-against-the-clock game in Stencyl.
