Michael doesn't write as a hobby, he writes so that people will like him. He loves writing, he loves every part of it, but the process itself, outside of trying to capture other people's adoration, is very difficult for him. He's using this game jam as a chance to use his writing as more than a tool for attention. Instead he's trying to create something that has value in itself.
Before he wanted to call himself a writer, Michael studied philosophy and religious studies at Simon Fraser University. Before that he grew up in the wilds of Williams Lake, British Columbia and dreamed of studying philosophy and calling himself a writer.
Now he does quality assurance testing at Electronic Arts and dreams of doing almost anything else.
