Chris Hadfield Saves The World

About the Game

I decided to make a shooting game as I felt it would be a simple game that could be completed easily. And for that folly of thought, I was punished severely. Every item added created a bug, every bug squashed just revealed another bug hiding in the darkness.

Creating a game felt like solving a puzzle. With each piece added, the picture became more clear, the picture on the screen slowly matching the picture in my head. Sometimes feeling I was done, only to realize that there were still some pieces missing. But once the basic mechanics were working, it was amazing adding new features and using them for the first time.

As for why I picked Chris Hadfield for the protagonist; the man is a hero for people that love space. I figure if anyone is going to lead the defense on an alien invasion, it'll be him.
